Sandy – friend or foe?

This post is a little bit delayed, as this was my Friday attire. Considering the rude arrival of hurricane Sandy, I would likely be ill prepared to venture out into the winds in this outfit today. Luckily, I don’t even have to worry about that! Last night at around 11 pm, as I was oh so studiously studying for Calc 2 and Psych, our student newspaper the Cavalier Daily tweeted that Monday classes were canceled! It only took another good hour or so for the official email to be sent out, confirming that school the next day was a no-go and that, in fact, “hurricanes are dangerous” (the things you learn in college are mind-blowing, folks). Today  marks only the second time that UVA has canceled classes in the past 30 years! Thank youu, Sandy– just don’t hurt my family up north. Please and thank you :)

  1. I figured that was probably what you did. Your Mom and I were talking when she, Sue and Kelly were at Block Island about how you did it. You are such a smart, clever girl!!! BIG HUGS.
